    Quick answer

    LiveLast verified 25 Oct 2026

Salesforce lists Flex Credits at $500 per 100,000 credits, $0.005 a credit, sold in packs of 100,000. An Agentforce action uses 20 credits ($0.10 at list), a voice action 30. You can pre-purchase, pre-commit or pay as you go; unused credits never roll over, and your contracted Usage Rate can be lower than list.1–4

    01What it means

    What a credit buys

A Flex Credit is a unit of consumption, not a license. Salesforce lists it at $500 per 100,000 credits, $0.005 each, sold in packs of 100,000; its own calculator rounds estimates to the nearest pack.1,2,5

Usage is priced by counting events against a rate card. An agent action is 20 credits however many tokens it processes, $0.10 at list; a voice action is 30, $0.15. Embedded AI that calls a model directly is billed per 2,000-token block instead: 2, 4 or 16 credits by tier.3,6

The rate card changes. Salesforce has issued nine versions since September 2025 and may update usage types and multipliers, with notice to billing contacts; agent action rates have been the same on every version.3,7

What you pay per credit is the Usage Rate on your Order Form. Salesforce publishes no volume-discount schedule and no minimum purchase beyond the pack; pay-as-you-go is billed at list.4,8

    04What drives the cost

    Six things decide the bill

The list price is fixed. What moves a Flex Credits bill is how the credits are spent, and at what rate.

    1. 1. How many actions a request runs

Every action is billed when it runs, and one request usually runs several. Salesforce's worked examples use one to five actions per request, 20 to 120 credits.1,6

    2. 2. Text or voice

A voice action costs 30 credits instead of 20. Customers who bought Agentforce Voice Minutes pay 60 credits a minute instead, rounded up to the whole minute.3,9

    3. 3. Which model tier a prompt uses

Direct model calls bill per 2,000-token block: 2 credits for Basic, 4 for Standard and 16 for Advanced, eight times Basic.3,6

    4. 4. Data 360 retrieval

Knowledge and Data 360 lookups inside an action are billed on Data 360 meters on top of the action. Salesforce's own pricing examples leave these costs out.1,10

    5. 5. Production or sandbox

Sandboxes and scratch orgs are metered at lower rates, 16 credits per action, and draw on the production org's credits.3

    6. 6. Your rate

Pay-as-you-go is billed at list. Pre-Purchase and Pre-Commit carry the Usage Rate negotiated in your Order Form; with several contracts, the lowest rate applies once the entitlements are used.1,4,13

    05Who pays list price

    List price, or your price

Pay-as-you-go customers pay list price for every credit. Everyone else pays the Usage Rate on their Order Form.1,4

    • Core, Advanced and Max editions include 500K, 1M and 2.75M Flex Credits per org per year. They do not roll over.3,12
    • Salesforce Foundations, listed at $0, is required to use Flex Credits and comes with starter credits.6,14
    • Per-user add-on customers pay for seats. Their licensed users' own use is unmetered, but automations and customer-facing agents draw credits.1,11
