ACME's credits are measured against the clock: the share of the entitlement used against the share of the term gone. Exceeding a Flex Credit entitlement carries no penalty: extra usage is billed at the contracted rate, monthly in arrears (PayGo is billed at list).

Digital Wallet shows consumed, remaining and total for a card. A burn rate, a run-out date and the comparison with contract time are CalculateForce's calculation from those figures, not a Salesforce metric. Last verified 25 Oct 2026.

One wallet, eight events.
Flex Credits are Salesforce's consumption unit for Agentforce and Data 360. Every event below draws a fixed number of them from one pool, at the rates Salesforce publishes.
Example wallet · one pack
Flex Credits are sold in packs of 100,000: $500 per 100,000 credits at list.
Event 8 of 8: Tests the agent in a sandbox, 16 credits. Balance 99,890.
- One chat conversation60 credits
- A voice call30 credits
- A rep's reply4 credits
- A sandbox test16 credits
- Credits are units of consumption
- One pool across Agentforce and Data 360: actions, prompts and voice draw on the same credits, and the wallet only goes down.
- Different activities, different amounts
- An action draws 20, a voice action 30, a Standard Prompt 4 per 2,000 tokens, a sandbox action 16. Changing topic draws nothing.
- Actions inside one conversation add up
- The chat ran 3 actions for one question: 60 credits. Salesforce's own examples use 1–5 actions per request.
- Your rate decides the dollars
- At list, these 110 credits cost $0.55, and a pack covers 909 runs of the example. Your Usage Rate on your Order Form sets what they cost you.

A monitor, not a spending hard stop.
Digital Wallet is Salesforce's free in-org hub for watching consumption: what each card has used and has left. It is not the bill, and it is not a brake. Digital Wallet does not block, throttle or switch off any service at 100%; usage past the entitlement continues and is billed monthly in arrears.

What Digital Wallet shows
Consumption cards
Consumed, remaining and total, one card per buying model
Each card tracks one entitlement under one buying model: pre-purchased cards show consumed, remaining and total, while pay-as-you-go cards show only the current billing cycle because there is no cap.

Off by default · set up as a flow
Alerts are not on by default: an admin activates the Consumption Threshold Alerts flow template, which runs on a schedule in production and sends email and in-app notifications.

Burn rate or run-out date
Not documented
No Digital Wallet article documents a burn rate, a projected run-out date or a comparison of usage with contract time elapsed; the only forward-looking feature is the three-month forecast.

The invoice is the record

Flex Credits, answered.
Will I run out of Flex Credits before my contract ends?
Compare the share of credits consumed with the share of the term elapsed: consuming faster than time passes means you may run out early, and slower means part of the commitment may go unused. Digital Wallet shows consumed, remaining and total credits but documents no burn rate or run-out date.
What happens when Flex Credits run out?
There is no automatic hard stop: reaching 100% of an entitlement does not block or throttle any service. Usage beyond it is billed monthly in arrears at your contracted rate, with no overage penalty, and PayGo is billed at list.
Do unused Flex Credits roll over?
No. Flex Credits, including credits bundled with editions, must be used before the Order End Date on your Order Form, and unused credits do not carry into the next term.
What is Salesforce Digital Wallet?
Digital Wallet is Salesforce's free in-org tool for watching consumption, seat licenses and product limits; most of its data refreshes every few hours. It is not the bill and not a spending limit: the monthly statement and invoice are the record of what you owe, and it blocks nothing at 100%.
How do Flex Credits work?
Flex Credits are Salesforce's consumption unit for Agentforce and Data 360: one pool that pays for agent actions, prompts, voice and Data 360 usage. They list at $500 per 100,000 credits, and a standard agent action uses 20.
Does sandbox usage consume Flex Credits?
Yes: sandboxes and scratch orgs draw on the production org's Flex Credits at lower multipliers, 16 credits per action, 24 per voice action and 0 per Help Agent resolution. Prompts cost the same as in production.
